World Wide Meltdown Of The Xbox
It seems that another problem is plaugueing the Xbox 360 game system and they are calling it the ‘3 rings of doom’. Apparently any time your Xbox 360 gives you three flashing lights when you turn it on instead of the green power light than you know for sure that it is experiencing the dreaded meltdown.
The problem is usually showing its ugly red lights with the older 360 consoles and their inability to handle the heat that is caused when you play it for too long. Now with the large numbers of high profile Xbox 360 titles that are being released, the 360 is really getting a workout and those older units are showing those problems.
Because of the meltdown gamers are having trouble trying to return their game console to Microsoft for two weeks or more for repair. Further more, many people are complaining that even after waiting two weeks or longer, the console they get back either doesn’t work, or goes out just as badly in a short period of time. Some are complaining that the machine is running slower and slower as it goes out again.
There are some quick fixes out on the Internet but Microsoft does not recommend using any of these but instead suggests following the warranty repair instructions in order not to void any potentially existing warranty.
Microsoft is going to hurt this holiday season if this problem persists and they don’t find a quick fix for people. Let’s hope that the meltdown doesn’t hit too many of us.
