Xbox 360 Wii-like Controller In The Works
Microsoft is planning to catch up with the compeition (a.k.a. the Nintendo Wii) by creating a brand new remote controller that has motion-sensing technology. Sound familiar? They are creating the new remote to compete with the one that is used by Nintendo and something that everyone loves.
“Microsoft’s response to Nintendo’s Wii will appear before the end of the year,” states the report, adding that the Xbox 360 motion-sensing device has been in development since last summer. The report claims that Microsoft’s controller is similar to the Wii Remote, but also comes with an analogue stick and a microphone built in.
Rare is developing the new controller and stated that they “have been tasked with creating a unified interface and look for the controller”, but also added the acclaimed firm “has had trouble hitting its deadlines”. Microsoft is confident that this new controller with appeal to most gamers especially since it will give gamers the chance to port Wii games to the Xbox 360.
