Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Pulls In Millions Of Viewers
We just can’t help but be excited about the newly released demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and it looks as if most people agree with us. LucasArts bragged today that the demo was able to break all of the previous download records for Xbox Live.
They stated that during the first eight days that it was released the demo received over a million downloads. Those numbers combined with the number of people from the PlayStation Network version it is a total of 2.3 million people. With this large amount of people we can only imagine how the sales will be when the full version of the game is finally released September 16th on the Xbox 360, PS2 and 3, and Nintendo Wii.
Of course The Force Unleashed wasn’t the only demo to his Xbox Live. The demo for Fracture will be released September 18th and will be available for download on the PS3 and Xbox Live.
What can we expect in the demo? LucasArts explains: “The demo will introduce players to the revolutionary gameplay behind Terrain Deformation, a key gameplay mechanic that allows for the dynamic creation of on-the-fly cover and geographic manipulation.” Fracture will be released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 7, 2008.
