Sony Adding DivX Feature To PS3
Sony has decided to pull out all the stops and is challenging Microsoft and Nintendo by introducing something great to spice up the PS3. Sony has added a new feature that will have everyone jumping for joy. They are integrating DivX video technology into the PS3 offering gamers an incredible digital experience.
DivX is a popular video format; the company currently makes a player for both Windows and Mac OS X. DivX is also supported on a number of consumer electronics, such as digital cameras, DVD Players, and cell phones. We all know that the PS3 can already play DVD’s, CD’s, and Blu-ray’s - DivX support is improving upon this and making it an even better media center.
Sony is looking to make hundred of these new PS3 available to everyone. Those of you who already have a PS3 can easily add DivX through a system software update. We haven’t been told when the new and improved PS3’s will be released – but we are hoping that they will arrive next year.
