PS3 Firmware Update Available
This week Sony has released a new version of its firmware for the PS3. Those of you who have been away from their console can turn it on and will receive a message telling them that they need to download the new 2.17 version. If you haven’t already you need to sign up with the PS Network – which is free to those who were wondering.
Sony says that the only real changes in the latest firmware is that the “the operating stability of some online PS3 titles has been improved”. Nothing to get to excited about.
When you look over the past few updates which have given PS3 owners new compatibility visualizations, DVD upscaling options, and DivX compatibility they deserve a break from the crowd pleasing updates. If only for now.
