Phillips To Demonstrate amBX PC At World Cyber Games
The World Cyber Games for 2007 is coming up and you can imagine just how exciting it will be. This is the time where the ultimate gamers can get together and swap stories and get a look at new technology that is coming. Out of all that technology we are most looking forward to the amBX PC Gaming Peripherals and games.
Philips has already identified 112 PC games which are amBX compatible without the need for any modification (saving time). They will be showing the integrated amBX version of Supreme Commander, the award-winning strategy game from Gas-Powered Games and THQ, which will be available before Christmas, and is soon to be bundled with amBX kits. In Supreme Commander, the feeling of immersion is greatly enhanced by the use of amBX-enabled sensory effects.
Also, gamers will get an insight on how the amBX FXGenerator brings immersive light effects to many existing and readily available PC games. There are three different amBX kits: The starter kit, with the controller unit and lights is $199, the pro-gamer kit, which includes speaker lights and a sub-woofer is $299, and the premium kit, which includes the lights and adds a wrist rumbler and fans is $399.
The event will run October 4-7 where a tally of 700 elite gamers are expected to attend from over 74 countries. This tells us just how popular the world of gaming has become.
