Nintendo’s New Wii-Fit Game Sensation Out Of Stock

Nintendo Wii-FitNintendo has come out with another successful venture called the Wii Fit. In this new game players will improve their fitness, balance, and strength using a pressure sensitive balance board. With this board they will be able to play virtual football and imitate different yoga positions.

Nintendo has already pre-sold close to 60,000 copies of the game and staying true to its reputation they have already put themselves in a bind by running out of stock. Now they have ceased taking orders.

Amazon, one of the biggest online retailers of computer games in the UK, stopped taking orders on March 16 - just a day after the game was made available for pre-order. “We have had enormous interest in Wii Fit and sold out our initial supply of product in just 24 hours,” said a spokesperson. “At that point we decided to stop taking orders until we are certain how much more stock we will get from the manufacturer and when. We hope to start taking orders again soon. We are working with the manufacturer to get stock as soon as possible.”

However, Nintendo has sought to reassure consumers that they will still be able to get their hands on a copy of the game on launch day. “All retailers in the UK and Ireland have been aware of their Wii Fit allocations for launch since early March and as such we would see any stopping of pre-orders a sensible precaution on their part to ensure all current orders are met,” said the games company in a statement. “Many retailers are still accepting pre-orders and we would advise people to shop around to secure their copy.”
