Nintendo DS Tries To Put Stop To Piracy
Piracy is becoming ever more rampant and in the long run in hurts many gaming manufacturers. Nintendo is feeling it hard when it comes to their DS game system and is trying new ways of putting a stop to it.
Nintendo, in an effort to curb rampant piracy in South Korea of its DS handheld games, has asked South Korean prosecutors to investigate into domestic web sites that they claim have illegally been uploading copies of the games.
Its complaint filed with the Seoul District Prosecutors’ Office called for action against people illegally copying and selling its games on websites. Nintendo will take further measures if copyright violations continue,” the company said.
Nintendo hasn’t asked country officials to help before and are looking for positive results. It seems very unlikely though that they would be helpful at all, but than again you never know.
