Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack Is Up For Grabs
Today is the day for all you Halo 3 gamers to go onto Xbox Live Marketplace and download the new Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack – which was released earlier today. Each of the three new maps (Standoff, Rat’s nest, and Foundry) offer a “totally different play style” according to Microsoft.
800 Microsoft points (£6.80) gets you the three maps – which may seem to be a bit expensive – but we all know that Halo fans will be willing to dish out the money. “Standoff’s symmetrical valley, with its entrenched bases and fields of boulders is ideal for mid-sized objective and Slayer game types,” says Microsoft.
Rat’s Nest is described as a vast, labyrinthine of passages, “an indoor vehicle paradise, strongly influenced by the Campaign mode, ideal for big team battles.” Finally, Foundry is “the ultimate Forge map, players can edit every single object in this voluminous industrial warehouse, place stairways, walls, bridges and tunnels to create an entirely new play space and build almost any kind of map they can think of”.
Microsoft is confident that Halo 3 fans will be happy with the new maps – which offer more scenarios and more hours of fun.
