Get Your Hands On A Wii With A Rain Check Promise

Wii AdGameStop has teamed up with Nintendo and created a rain check program that was set up to appease those consumers who are unable to find a Wii to put under the Christmas tree. Holiday shoppers were dismayed when there was no Wii to be found hoping that they could offer the best gift to their child (or for themselves).

With the new program you will receive vouchers - which will be available for one day only on December 21. To get your voucher you will need to pay the full amount of $249.99 plus tax. This will guarantee your system by January 25; to prove that you bought something, you’ll get a special Nintendo-branded DVD case with some paperwork detailing all the fine print of the offer. You can only get one voucher per household, and once the systems arrive, you’ll get a phone call telling you to come pick up your Wii.

This might make some customers a bit happy – but there are still some of us out there who were hoping to have it a bit earlier. The fact that they will arrive a month after Christmas is a bit disappointing. Not to mention that everyone will be standing in line to get a voucher (which originally was a two day deal). So if you aren’t there early than you’ll miss your chance and will have to wait even later for a system.
