Gears Of War 2 Release Set For November
At the 2008 Game Developers Conference Microsoft announced the official arrival date of the anticipated Gears of War 2. The Xbox 360 game will be released in November. Gears of War 2 has an epic story line that is full of survival and many other major things. The game continues the story of Marcus Fenix and the Delta Squad.
The sequel is being developed by Epic Games for Microsoft Game Studios. The announcement of the sequel was made by Cliff Bleszinski, lead designer of Epic Games, at the GDC. According to Bleszinski, “Gears of War 2 is an even bigger, better, and more badass experience than the first game, and we can’t wait to get it in the hands of eager gamers this November.” No specific details about the game have been disclosed - except, of course, for the fact that the battle will continue.
The first Gears of War was quite popular and sold over 3 million copes when it was released back in November of 2006. New Line Cinema has even go so far as to get the rights it needs in order to make a movie based on the game.
