Gateway Creates Quad HD For Better Gaming
Most people think that to get a great gaming experience you have to have one of the top gaming systems, but what about all those computers? Most(mainly the young kids)are so used to the gaming systems that they don’t know that computers are as much fun. I have to admit that they weren’t always as fun, but things are improving, thanks to Gateway.
Computer maker Gateway has unveiled its new XHD3000 display, aiming to give Apple, Dell, and high-end LCD manufacturers some competition for high-end gamers’ and digital entertainment fans’ dollars. The XHD3000 matches the size of previously introduced high-end LCDs from Apple and Dell as well as their maximum resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, which Gateway calls Quad HD, as it is four times the resolution of 720p (1280×720). Where both the Apple and the Dell have very limited connectivity (DVI, 2x USB 2.0, 2X Firewire 400 for the Apple and DVI-D with HDCP for the Dell), the XHD3000 provides what may be the most comprehensive array interfaces on any LCD on the market today.
“The Gateway XHD3000 takes a dramatic step forward in expanding Gateway’s award winning line of HD displays and raising the bar for display technology,” said Gateway’s senior VP of products, Gary Elsasser, in a statement. “Its combination of leading-edge technology and usability features makes it the most advanced and versatile display on the market, and the only display available that is truly equipped to handle any PC or CE video device.”
Other features of the XHD3000 include a 6 ms refresh rate, 176-dregree viewing angles, a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 400 cd/m2. All specs either match or slightly outpace its rivals. Apple’s 30” LCD is rated at a refresh rate of 16 ms, 170-degree viewing angles, a contrast ratio of 700:1 and a brightness of 400 cd/m2; Dell’s LCD has a refresh rate of 12 ms, 178-dregree viewing angles, a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 300 cd/m2.
So now when you play those games on your new Quad HP computer screen you can see everything clearer and actually get into the game. Who wouldn’t want to play on a big screen that has great quality!
