Devil May Cry 4 Demo Reaches 1 Million Downloads



Devil May Cry 4Xbox 360 gamers were ready and waiting on Xbox Live – the online network – for the Devil May Cry 4 demo to be available on January 24th. If Capcom was worried about it being a big hit they can worry no more. Not even a month has passed and yet there have been over 1 million downloads.

Capcom has been keeping track of the progress and has stated that it has been downloaded an average of 25,000 times per day. Additionally, it said that the game is a hit at retail, with reorders from major retailers days after the title’s release.

Devil May Cry 4 is the latest installment of the supernatural action franchise. It was released on Feb. 6 for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 and Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3. In Devil May Cry 4`- Nero clashes with veteran Dante in the new entry. New gameplay mechanics include the Exceed system to unleash powerful and stylish attacks.

Capcom is also releasing a Devil May Cry 4 Collector’s Edition package that will include the first volume of the ADV Film’s Devil May Cry: The Animated Series, a bonus DVD that is filled with extra footage and specials, and a Steelbook case.
