EA Predicting A Crysis For The PC

Crysis CharacterThe countdown has begun to one of the most highly anticipated FPS (first person shooter) ever for the PC (save for some of the Counter Strike releases, Boom Headshot!). From their press release: “Electronic Arts Inc. and Crytek, award-winning developers of Far Cry, today announced that Crysis, will be hitting retail stores in North America and Europe on November 16, 2007 exclusively for the PC.” So what does this mean to you? We”ll explain.

What makes this game so special is the graphics. Not just good graphics, but something likely to bring even the most badass rigs to their knees. Actually, that’s a problem… but the developers are working on making sure even decent 2-3 year old systems will have no problems ticking off decent frames.

EA Dropping Support for Pre-2007 Online Games

EA GamesEA (Electronic Arts) announced that, beginning September 1st, they will no longer be offering online support for its older – more specifically those developed prior to 2007 (that’s old?). The first round of shutdowns are almost solely for the older sports titles, which probably won’t make much of an impact on the gaming community because most of the hardcore gamers (those needing support) stay up to date with each year’s new release. Now the second round on November 1st is gonna cut support for Burnout Revenge and Need for Speed titles, which will probably have a more noticable impact on gamers.
