Intel Branches Out Beyond Computers

Intel LogoIntel is known for making computers and only things that has to do with computers, but now they are trying to think outside the box and branch out into new areas. CEO of Intel, Paul Otellini, Let us in at exactly what they would be offering in the coming years. “We’ve matured,” Otellini said of the PC industry.

“But there’s no shortage of opportunities that lie in front of us.” “These are markets that are very near to us and have the same characteristics,” Otellini said, predicting that the consumer electronics industry would undergo as much change in the coming years as the PC industry has in the past decade.



Coffee Tycoon Doesn’t Impress

Coffee Tycoon CoverCoffee Tycoon is the newest game to the PC world, which is every bit unusual as the name(well maybe the name isn’t unusual). The creator, Jamapolis, are known for making games that people usually like to play. Whether or not this will be a hit game is hard to tell.

Starting in one of five different coffee shops in five different cities, players will have to manage employees, add items to the menu and buy certain business upgrades on their way to becoming the coffee czar. There are three types of employees in Coffee Tycoon: Baristas to sell coffee, Managers to bring in customers, and Executives to buy up more stores.



Free In-Game Ad For PC Games

PC Computer ChipRayman, Tom Clancy’s game series’ and Far Cry have decided to band together with other various games and create ad-supported versions of three games, which will not cost the player a dime(that is until after they download it).

The free games trio is comprised of the IHV favourite and tropical shooter from Crytek, Far Cry; the modern day rendition of Jordan Mechner’s Apple II hit, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time; and finally the philosophically-engaged mini-games compilation, featuring scholarly allegories with rabbits, Rayman: Raving Rabbits. It’s unclear whether the ad-supported version of Far Cry is compatible with user modifications or not.



Crysis Demo Coming Soon

Crysis Game CoverGet ready all you nerdy PC gamers because the game of the year(for you guys)is getting ready to release their first demo. The Crysis demo will be released September 25th, the same day as Halo 3’s release to stores. Don’t worry though, we don’t think that the reign of Halo will be disturbed. After all they are for two different systems.

For September 25, “gamers can mark a big circle” in their calendars, since in 30 days they’ll be able to get their hands on the first level of the game, called “Contact”. Crytek raised the stakes and also promised a “huge surprise” for all fans, but we’ll have to wait until September 25 to see what’s it all about.
