When we first heard about PS3’s new StreamMyGame feature we were excited. For those of you who have not heard – StreamMyGame allows PS3 gamers to install Linux onto their PS3 –which will then allow them to play their PC games on their console. Sounds exciting doesn’t?

Unfortunately this is too good to be true and you will find that there are more than a few barriers that may stand in our way. The StreamMyGame application only works if the game is actually running on your PC. The service converts a game running on the PC into an audio and video file, and then streams that file to a PS3 running Linux. What this means is that the PS3 is not actually running the game – rather it is just helping the game be display on a TV or monitor other than your PC.

If you thought that 2007 was a great year for PC games than you haven’t seen anything yet. We are expecting to see some great titles arrive for 2008. We have compiled a list of some of the top games that we believe will be popular among PC gamers. It looks as if there will be sequels to games that we love and more additions to add to the ones that you already have. Also check out some of the newer games that you can expect to see. When Heroes of the Pacific was released back in 2005 for the PS2 and the Xbox it became such a great hit. Ever since then we have hoped that they would come out with another game that would be just as great. We were excited to hear that after two years we will be getting what we want. Red Mile Entertainment announced this week that they are creating a sequel called – Heroes Over Europe – and will be making it for the PS3 Xbox 360 and PC.

Sony announced this week that it will be opening up a Playstation store full of fun games to download that will be available for both PS3 gamers and for PC owners. This new store will make downloading games onto your PSP easier than ever.

Before anyone who wanted to place a game on their PSP had to first download it to their PS3 and than transfer it to the PSP. The games you can purchase from the store include the “classic” PlayStation games and newer games for the PSP. Some of the best exclusives they have is the Syphon Filter, Combat Ops, and Beats – which are available for only $9.99.

Gears of War is a popular game for Xbox gamers – but Epic Games is making it more exciting for PC gamers by offering them a gold edition of the game. The game is set to be released in the U.S. November 6th and in the UK November 9th.

The game is similar to the one played on Xbox except with more features and games. The PC version of GoW will offer five new campaigns and three PC only multiplayer maps, along with a King of the Hill mode.
