We just can’t help but be excited about the newly released demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and it looks as if most people agree with us. LucasArts bragged today that the demo was able to break all of the previous download records for Xbox Live.
They stated that during the first eight days that it was released the demo received over a million downloads. Those numbers combined with the number of people from the PlayStation Network version it is a total of 2.3 million people. With this large amount of people we can only imagine how the sales will be when the full version of the game is finally released September 16th on the Xbox 360, PS2 and 3, and Nintendo Wii.

Nintendo is undergoing yet another patent fight set against the ever popular Wii videogame console. Hillcrest Labs announced this week that they are suing Nintendo over their wand shaped remote controller.
They stated in the lawsuit that the technology used for this controller is an infringement on the patent for their own “handheld three-dimensional pointing device” and that software that comes with it.
A Nintendo spokesman declined to comment, saying the company had not been contacted by Hillcrest Labs at this time. The news triggered a sell-off of Nintendo’s shares in Japan. By the close of trading in Osaka, investors had knocked 3.6% off Nintendo’s shares, which have fallen by nearly 25% since the start of the year.
