This achievement now stands beside the other accomplishments World of Warcraft has recieved since its North American release in November 23, 2004. It has been the bestselling PC title for both 2005 and 2006 and was supplanted only by it’s Burning Crusade expansion which was released in 2007. The Burning Crusade expansion, in addition to being the best PC Game of 2007, is also the fastest selling PC Game ever with 2.4 million copies sold in the first 24 hours, and 3.5 million in its first month. The next WoW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, is still under development.
