Sony was hoping that the PS3 would take off starting in 2008 – but was disappointed when they saw that sales were still declining. It seems that even with all of the exclusives that they have paid millions of dollars to show off to PS3 gamers they have not made it to the top of everyone’s to-do list.
This week though Sir Howard Stringer – CEO of Sony – is confident that things will change with the release of the Gran Turismo 5 prologue. This will be the next game in the famous racing series that has sold over 100 million PS2 copies in the past.

There’s another medical condition to hit the market and it’s affecting Nintendo gamers everywhere. It’s called the ‘Wii syndrome’. Medical physicians in Britain are blaming the Nintendo Wii for some minor injuries that thousands of people have been experiencing.
Osteopaths have said middle aged parents roped into playing the games with their children are especially susceptible to neck, shoulder and elbow problems that can result from playing for extended periods of time. “We noticed we were getting a number of middle-aged parents coming in having played for far too long on the Nintendo Wii that they had bought their children,” said Martin Davies, who runs five osteopathic clinics in Cheshire county.

When we first heard about PS3’s new StreamMyGame feature we were excited. For those of you who have not heard – StreamMyGame allows PS3 gamers to install Linux onto their PS3 –which will then allow them to play their PC games on their console. Sounds exciting doesn’t?
Unfortunately this is too good to be true and you will find that there are more than a few barriers that may stand in our way. The StreamMyGame application only works if the game is actually running on your PC. The service converts a game running on the PC into an audio and video file, and then streams that file to a PS3 running Linux. What this means is that the PS3 is not actually running the game - rather it is just helping the game be display on a TV or monitor other than your PC.
