Microsoft has regained its confidence after the release of Halo3 that brought up their sales. They are ready to do more work and make gaming on the Xbox even better. They are in the process of creating a brand new motherboard for the 360, which they are calling the ‘Jasper’.
The ‘Jasper’ board will finally incorporate a 65nm GPU from ATI to go along with the 65nm CPU from IBM. The board is also said to feature smaller memory chips. With both the CPU and GPU at 65nm(something we’ve been waiting for). Currently, the graphics chip on the Xbox 360 uses a 90-nanometer process. With the new version, the graphics chip will give off less heat, be physically smaller, and cost less to produce.

The World Cyber Games for 2007 is coming up and you can imagine just how exciting it will be. This is the time where the ultimate gamers can get together and swap stories and get a look at new technology that is coming. Out of all that technology we are most looking forward to the amBX PC Gaming Peripherals and games.
Philips has already identified 112 PC games which are amBX compatible without the need for any modification (saving time). They will be showing the integrated amBX version of Supreme Commander, the award-winning strategy game from Gas-Powered Games and THQ, which will be available before Christmas, and is soon to be bundled with amBX kits. In Supreme Commander, the feeling of immersion is greatly enhanced by the use of amBX-enabled sensory effects.

Often we hear that some children are not allowed to play certain video games because the parents feel that they are too violent for them. It isn’t very often that we hear about a country trying to keep a video game from its citizens. It’s a little surprising to us that the UK would do this because of all the other risqué things that they allow.

Microsoft was happy when they sold over $300 million dollars worth of Halo 3 games in the first week, but now they are throwing a huge party(or at least they should)because they have officially earned their way back up to number one in the console wars pushing the Wii out of it way. When we say push we really mean shove(;D).
The Xbox 360 finally outsold the nigh-invincible Nintendo Wii by some 25,000 units, though if those VGC numbers are right, the Wii’s not-so-little sibling, the Nintendo DS, is still giving the H3-rejuvenated 360 a 20,000-plus unit drubbing, and you can be sure Zelda: Phantom Hourglass which just came out on Monday is only going to extend that lead going forward(one thing at a time).

During most of this year Microsoft was starting to sweat with worry wondering if they were going to make it through the slump in sales that was left in the wake on Nintendo’s Wii. They were saved by the release of Halo 3, which in one week allowed them to make over $300 million. Now though it seems they are going to lose those people who helped them as they branch out on their own.
